1. SMART Level 2A Technical Training
Level 2 technical training is a one-day session designed to give participants the knowledge and skills they need to effectively support end users and comfortably troubleshoot, diagnose and perform basic maintenance on the SMART Board 600, 600i/ix, 800 and 800i/ix series interactive whiteboards. The session is led by a SMART Technical Trainer who has extensive experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and performing basic service work for the SMART Board interactive whiteboard system and UF/UX series projectors in a variety of environments.
2. SMART Level 2B Installation Training
Level 2 installation training is a two-day session designed to give participants the knowledge and skills they need to make informed decisions about installation options, connections and troubleshooting – all while working from a safety-first perspective. Each event is led by a SMART Technical Trainer who has experience installing the SMART Board interactive whiteboard, and UF/UX series projectors in a variety of environments.
What to expect?
- Each session is led by a SMART Technical Trainer who has experience installing the SMART Board interactive whiteboard and Unifi65/65w and UX60 projectors in a variety of environments
- By the end of the session, you will be comfortable making informed decisions about installation options, connections and troubleshooting all while working from a safety-first perspective
- You will receive the SMART Board 600 and SBD600 Series Interactive Whiteboard Installation and User’s Guide, the Extending USB Connections Guide and a USB drive full of useful installation and technical information
- Ample time will be provided for discussions, questions and answers that will help you relate what you have learned to your work
- All participants will have extensive opportunities for hands-on learning
- Real-time summative assessments will be conducted throughout the training session
Event contents:
- Safety and planning: Learn what is required to complete safe installations. Topics include site surveys, tool and hardware requirements, and installation processes and procedures.
- Construction: Learn about the installation process. Topics include preparing for construction, proper use of tools and hardware, installation techniques for different types of walls, installation stages and clean-up requirements.
- Extension options: Learn about all the extension options SMART offers, including how to implement them. Topics include plenum space, cabling and USB specification and theory.
- SMART Board interactive whiteboard and projectors: Learn about the SMART Board interactive whiteboard and Unifi and UX series projectors. Topics include technical information, maintenance, installation, troubleshooting and contacting SMART Technical Support.
Who should attend?
Anyone in your organization who installs, supports or supervises the installation of SMART Board interactive whiteboards.
3. SMART DViT Technical Training
What to expect?
Day 1, SMART Board SB800-series, Instruction and Hands-on:
- Get detailed insight of how the SMART 800 DViT (Digital Vision Touch) based technology works.
- Understand the pen tray components
- Locate and understand the operation and functions of the integrated SC14 controller
- Understand the integration of the SMART Board 800 with the UF/UX projectors
- Understand and get hands-on practice on connecting and setting up available accessories and add-ons.
- Identify the differences between the 600 series and 800 series
- Understand the DViT diagnostic tool
- Learn troubleshooting tips/techniques and apply the use of the available diagnostic tools and best practice procedures to provide quality of service.
- Get comfortable with performing basic service work for the SMART Board 800 series interactive whiteboard system
- You will receive a collection of useful installation and technical information
- Ample time will be provided for discussions, questions and answers that will help you relate what you’ve learned to your work
Day 2 – SMART Board 8070i/6052i and SMART Table ST230i, Instructions and Hands-on:
- The components and specifications
- The operation of the DViT technology
- Installation considerations
- Servicing, Maintenance and troubleshooting using the DViT diagnostic tool
Who should attend?
Anyone in your organization whose role is to maintain, support or service SMART DViT products. (Note: pre-requisite for attendance required.)
