
Sarah is an Ontario Certified Teacher (K-6) with additional qualifications in Special Education and Kindergarten. She has experience in a wide variety of educational roles; most recently as a Special Needs Teacher with the Kitchener-Waterloo Learning Disabilities Association and with the Waterloo Region District School Board in the Strong Start early literacy program as a volunteer. Sarah has also taught in many schools in both York Region and the Toronto District School Boards as a Mad Science instructor. Additionally Sarah has worked with international students in Ottawa as an ESL teacher.
Sarah has now expanded on her certifications with SMART Training Certifications in SMART Notebook Collaborative Learning Software, SMART Response Software for Education and SMART Meeting Pro for Business. In her role as the Training Manager of Duplicom’s SMART Certified Training Centre, she delivers beginner and intermediate level professional development workshops which cater to the diverse needs and learning styles of all participants.
Bruce and Bill are teachers with over 50 years of experience teaching teachers and students. Bruce has a background with specialist qualifications in teaching Visual Arts and Library-Media. Bill has specialized in Mathematics and Computer Studies. Both teachers have over five years experience using the SmartBoard with teachers and students from JK – 12. They have provided teachers in the Thames Valley District School Board with over 100 workshops addressing the integration of Information and Communication Technologies into the curriculum. Both have presented SmartBoard workshops for teachers at the Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels at regional Symposia, conferences in Michigan (State level computer users in education conference) and at the National Education Computing Conferences in San Antonio Texas and Washington DC.
Bill and Bruce have a combined 30 years of experience at the school District level computer coordinators who are responsible for the effective integration of technology into the elementary and secondary curriculum. Both are Smart Certified Trainers and Bruce is a Smart Exemplary Teacher who has presented Webinars and workshops addressing the use of the Smart Board to differentiate instruction.
