1 How do I clear (reset to zero hours) the lamp timer on a Sharp XR-10X/XR-10S projector?
  • Turn projector off.
  • Then, while simultaneously holding down the 'MENU/HELP', 'ENTER', and down arrow buttons, press the STANDYBY/ON button.
  • "LAMP 0000H" will then be displayed indicating the the lamp timer is reset.

2 How do I clear (reset to zero hours) the lamp timer on a TLP-X2500A Toshiba projector?
  • Turn projector off and unplug power cord.
  • Then, while holding down the 'ON/STANDBY', 'MENU', and 'INPUT' buttons, plug the power cord back in.
  • The lamp timer will be automatically reset to zero.
  • Check that "0H" appears on the lamp timer indicator of the Status display menu option.

3 My SMART Board works when I touch it with my finger, but I am unable to use the pens to write on it.
  • Underneath the SMART Board pen tray there is a cable that looks like a phone cable, make sure this cable is plugged into the slot labelled '1.'
4 When I try to use my finger as a mouse to open programs on my SMART Board, it won't open them but instead shows coloured dots.
  • Make sure that all the pens are properly placed in the pen tray. If a pen is missing from the pen tray, the SMART Board will 'think' you are using that pen and show a coloured dot on the SMART Board.

The light on the bottom right-hand side on my SMART Board is red - not green like it is supposed to be.

  • Make sure  the USB cable that connects the board to the computer is plugged in at both ends. Make sure you have the SMART Board software and drivers loaded on your computer.
